How does the Community Draw work?
You can support the KCDT by entering the community draw for £1 per ticket. You can combine your membership with draw tickets to automatically enter you into the draw for 6 months (it will automatically renew unless you cancel - you will receive a reminder email before renewal). Alternatively, you can buy paper tickets in the shop. Please contact us if you would like a recurring ticket in a different way than currently offered (for example if you live outside the Kirknewton postcode area and still want to enter the draw).
Half of your ticket goes towards the draw, and the other half will go to KCDT to support our village hall (80%) and the pot of community funding (20%). At least for the financial year 2026/2027 (and potentially extended), this 20% in the community funding pot will be used for projects with the specific focus to enhance the Village Hall and its usage.
The community draw occurs weekly on a Monday at 8 pm. Important: If you sign up online, you will enter the draw on the 1st day of the next month (i.e. not immediately).
The winner is announced on social media, in the shop, and on posters around the village. The winner will also be contacted directly by KCDT staff. Winnings can be collected from the shop!
