What is the KCDT?

​

The Kirknewton Community Development Trust (KCDT) is a member-led charity for the community. Our aim is to improve the lives of everyone in Kirknewton by investing in the community, maintaining facilities and open spaces, and organising activities. Why should I become a member?

​

• Membership is FREE! But donations are greatly appreciated to support our activities.

• You receive a monthly newsletter with news from the village and upcoming activities (you can unsubscribe at any time).

• You have the right to vote during Annual General Meetings and to get elected as Board Director if you wish to stand.

• You can use your membership donation to enter the weekly community draw (more information).

 

Am I eligible to become a member?

 

To become a member, you have to:

• be over the age of 18

• live in the Kirknewton area (defined by Kirknewton Community Council area)

• be entitled to vote in the local government elections in the Kirknewton polling district

• membership is per individual, not household

Can I sign up with a paper form?

Yes! If you do not want to sign up online, you can find paper membership forms at the Green Room and the shop.
